  • SayPro CEO Neftaly Malatjie Congratulates Mr. Nhlanhla Mabuza on the Launch of Conquering the Invisible Enemy

The Southern Africa Youth Project (SayPro) proudly extends heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Nhlanhla Mabuza on the successful launch of his powerful and transformative book, Conquering the Invisible Enemy, which took place on Saturday, 31 May 2025, in Johannesburg.

Neftaly Malatjie, CEO of SayPro, lauded Mr. Mabuza’s courage, insight, and leadership in bringing critical issues around mental health, inner resilience, and personal transformation into the national spotlight. The book provides a compelling narrative on overcoming internal battles such as fear, trauma, depression, and self-doubt — issues that often remain unspoken in many communities.

In his congratulatory message, Mr. Malatjie said:

“On behalf of SayPro and the thousands of young people we serve, I would like to congratulate Mr. Nhlanhla Mabuza on the successful launch of Conquering the Invisible Enemy. This book is not only a personal triumph but a gift to our nation. It speaks to the silent battles that many of our youth face every day and offers a beacon of hope and healing. Your voice and story are needed now more than ever.”

A Message of Hope and Empowerment

SayPro, as a leading youth development institution in Southern Africa, believes strongly in the importance of addressing both the visible and invisible challenges that impact the well-being and development of young people. Mr. Mabuza’s work aligns perfectly with SayPro’s ongoing commitment to mental health advocacy, emotional intelligence development, and psychosocial support.

“Books like Conquering the Invisible Enemy create vital spaces for reflection, discussion, and transformation,” Mr. Malatjie added. “They help break the silence and stigma, and they give power back to individuals who feel unseen or unheard.”

SayPro’s Continued Support for Mental Wellness

SayPro continues to integrate emotional and mental wellness support into its training and development programmes across South Africa. The organisation recognises that the fight against unemployment, inequality, and poverty must also include the inner fight — the invisible enemy — that many people face silently.

SayPro was represented at the book launch by Ms. Maake Matjie Patricia, who attended the event on behalf of both Mr. Malatjie and SayPro Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. Puluko Nkiwane. Her participation emphasized the organisation’s full support for Mr. Mabuza’s mission and the broader national conversation around mental health.

SayPro applauds Mr. Nhlanhla Mabuza for using his voice and platform to inspire healing, courage, and change. We look forward to future collaborations that will continue to uplift and empower South Africa’s youth.

  • SayPro’s Maake Matjie Patricia to Attend the Book Launch of Conquering the Invisible Enemy on Behalf of CEO Neftaly Malatjie and CMO Puluko Nkiwane

SayPro is proud to announce that Maake Matjie Patricia, a respected leader within the company, will be representing Chief Executive Officer Neftaly Malatjie and Chief Marketing Officer Puluko Nkiwane at the highly anticipated book launch of Conquering the Invisible Enemy. The event will take place this weekend in Johannesburg and will bring together thought leaders, authors, youth advocates, and changemakers committed to overcoming personal, societal, and psychological barriers.

Conquering the Invisible Enemy, written by a prominent South African author and mental health advocate, explores the silent struggles many individuals face — including anxiety, depression, self-doubt, and generational trauma — and offers tools for healing, resilience, and empowerment. The book’s themes resonate deeply with SayPro’s mission to empower communities and support holistic development, particularly among youth, women, and marginalized groups.

    SayPro’s Representation

Maake Matjie Patricia will attend the launch event on behalf of SayPro’s executive leadership. Her presence will symbolize the company’s solidarity with mental wellness movements and its alignment with national efforts to break the stigma around mental health.

Speaking ahead of the event, Patricia stated, “It’s an honour to represent SayPro at this important launch. The message of Conquering the Invisible Enemy reflects the realities faced by many of our beneficiaries, and it reinforces the need for safe spaces and support systems that help people overcome the silent battles within.”

    SayPro’s Commitment to Mental Wellness

SayPro recognises that economic development and education alone are not enough without addressing the invisible challenges that hinder individual growth. The company has embedded psychosocial support into many of its youth development and leadership programmes, ensuring that participants are not only equipped with skills but are also mentally and emotionally empowered.

CEO Neftaly Malatjie shared his thoughts ahead of the event: “While we couldn’t be there in person, SayPro stands firmly behind the powerful messages in this book. Our communities need more honest conversations and resources to help individuals conquer their inner battles.”

CMO Puluko Nkiwane added, “We see daily how invisible struggles affect young people’s ability to reach their full potential. This book shines a light on that reality and is a call to action for everyone in development, education, and leadership.”

    Looking Ahead

SayPro will continue to support mental health initiatives and advocate for the inclusion of mental wellness in youth empowerment programs across South Africa. The participation of Maake Matjie Patricia at this launch is just one of the many ways SayPro demonstrates its commitment to addressing both visible and invisible challenges faced by communities.

The South African Qualifications Authority’s Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) conducted a site visit to SayPro-Govis Hilton this week as part of the accreditation process for the Supply Chain Practitioner Qualification. This milestone marks a significant step forward in SayPro’s ongoing mission to empower youth, women, and persons with disabilities through access to quality vocational training and professional certification.

The QCTO delegation arrived at the SayPro-Govis Hilton Training Centre to conduct a thorough evaluation of the facilities, training resources, curriculum delivery systems, and staff qualifications. The visit focused on assessing the readiness of the institution to deliver the Occupational Certificate: Supply Chain Practitioner (NQF Level 5) in accordance with national quality standards.

SayPro, in collaboration with Govis Projects, has developed a comprehensive training program designed to equip learners with vital skills in supply chain management, procurement, logistics coordination, inventory control, and vendor relations. The partnership aims to produce job-ready graduates who can make meaningful contributions in both the public and private sectors.

    Key Highlights of the Visit:

    • Infrastructure Evaluation: The QCTO representatives conducted a walkthrough of the training rooms, administrative offices, and learner support areas, noting that SayPro-Govis Hilton provides a conducive learning environment.
    • Curriculum Review: SayPro showcased its well-structured curriculum and learning materials aligned with the Occupational Qualification Framework, incorporating both theoretical knowledge and practical application.
    • Trainer Qualifications: QCTO assessed the credentials and experience of SayPro’s facilitators, who have demonstrated both academic qualifications and real-world expertise in supply chain operations.
    • Quality Assurance Systems: SayPro-Govis presented its learner assessment systems, moderation processes, and continuous improvement mechanisms to ensure the delivery of consistent and high-quality outcomes.

Puluko Graham Nkiwane, Chief Marketing Officer of SayPro, expressed pride in reaching this stage of the accreditation process. “This visit by QCTO reflects SayPro’s unwavering commitment to providing industry-relevant qualifications that open real economic opportunities for our communities,” he said. “Accreditation of the Supply Chain Practitioner Qualification will not only enhance our training portfolio but also respond to the growing need for skilled supply chain professionals in South Africa.”

The outcome of the QCTO evaluation will be communicated in the coming weeks. If successful, SayPro-Govis Hilton will be formally accredited to offer the qualification, empowering hundreds of young people in KwaZulu-Natal and beyond.

SayPro continues to play a pivotal role in national workforce development by offering accredited occupational qualifications that bridge the gap between education and employment.
