Purpose:
To strengthen SayPro’s data-driven approach to local resilience planning, employees must conduct two (2) community-based risk assessments using SayPro’s standardized digital tools. These assessments will help identify local vulnerabilities, resilience capacities, and community priorities, forming the foundation for responsive and responsible partnership interventions.
Key Objectives:
- Collect accurate, community-informed data on environmental, social, and institutional risks.
- Analyze community needs and readiness for partnership-based resilience interventions.
- Contribute findings to SayPro’s regional resilience database to support targeted planning.
Step-by-Step Guide:
🟢 1. Preparation
- Identify two target communities (urban, rural, informal, or institutional).
- Download or access the SayPro CRA Toolkit via the digital platform.
- Obtain necessary community permissions and ensure ethical consent for data collection.
🔵 2. Assessment Implementation
- Use the SayPro mobile or desktop form to:
- Capture local hazards (e.g., flooding, youth unemployment, service gaps).
- Identify vulnerable groups (children, elders, informal workers, etc.).
- Assess access to services, infrastructure, and emergency response capacity.
- Include a minimum of 10 respondents per community to ensure validity.
- Take supporting photos and geolocation tags (if field-based).
🟡 3. Submission and Reporting
- Complete the digital form on the SayPro Assessment Submission System (SASS).
- Upload the following:
- Completed CRA digital form (auto-saved).
- 2–3 geo-tagged community photos.
- Summary of findings (500–750 words) using the CRA Summary Template.
- Tag submissions under “SCSPR-12 | Risk Assessment | March”.
