Compiled by: SayPro TVET Colleges Strategic Partnerships Office
Under the Leadership of: SayPro Strategic Partnerships Royalty
Purpose of SCSPR-17
The primary purpose of SCSPR-17 for May is to identify and document opportunities for collaboration in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) infrastructure improvement. This report seeks to strengthen SayPro’s position as a proactive partner in educational transformation through infrastructure development, innovation, and sustainable partnerships.
Background
SayPro, through its Strategic Partnerships Office, has established itself as a key player in enabling institutional development and social impact through strategic, multi-sectoral partnerships. In alignment with national development plans and the growing need for robust, future-proof educational environments, SCSPR-17 focuses specifically on infrastructure challenges and solutions within TVET colleges.
TVET institutions are critical in addressing skills shortages, unemployment, and socioeconomic inequality. However, many of these institutions operate in outdated or inadequate physical conditions that limit their effectiveness. SCSPR-17 responds to this gap by exploring ways SayPro and its partners can contribute to transforming TVET colleges into state-of-the-art centers of learning and innovation.
Key Objectives of SCSPR-17
- Mapping TVET Infrastructure Needs:
- Identify current physical and operational infrastructure challenges across selected TVET colleges.
- Prioritize colleges based on infrastructure deficit and strategic importance.
- Engagement with Stakeholders:
- Conduct consultations with college leadership, government departments, private sector investors, and development partners.
- Build consensus on areas requiring urgent intervention and long-term planning.
- Strategic Partnership Opportunities:
- Explore co-investment models, public-private partnerships (PPPs), and donor funding channels.
- Identify potential collaborators for infrastructure refurbishment, expansion, and digital transformation projects.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
- Produce detailed profiles for each college, including a needs analysis, potential partnership models, and cost estimates.
- Develop a digital repository of partnership proposals for internal and external use.
