SayPro Copy of Title Deed or Land Certificate (Where Applicable)
Purpose:
To confirm legal ownership or right of occupation, a Copy of the Title Deed or Land Certificate must be submitted for each property undergoing transfer if available. This document serves as primary legal proof of ownership and is used to validate the property’s status during the SayPro HOT verification process.
✅ Accepted Documents Include:
- Title Deed (registered with the Deeds Office)
- Land Ownership Certificate issued by a recognized authority
- Deed of Grant or Permission to Occupy (PTO) from local or traditional authority
- Certified copy of registered leasehold (in applicable jurisdictions)
📌 Submission Guidelines:
- Must be a clear, legible copy (PDF or high-resolution image)
- Must include:
- Name(s) of current owner(s)
- Legal description of the land/property
- Registration number (if available)
- Date of issuance and issuing authority
- Certification stamp from issuing body or authority required if original not available
- If lost, a sworn affidavit declaring loss and summarizing ownership claim must be submitted, with support from the Chief or municipal authority
⚠️ Note:
- If a formal title deed or land certificate is not available, alternative proof of ownership (e.g., affidavit, traditional council letter, or heirship declaration) may be accepted after review.
- Submission of fraudulent or altered documents will result in immediate disqualification and legal action.
