🧭 Position Overview

The Human Settlement Strategic Partnerships Officer plays a pivotal role in the planning, coordination, and execution of community-driven human settlement initiatives under the SayPro Chiefs Strategic Partnerships Office. This role requires a strategic thinker and relationship builder who thrives in a multi-stakeholder environment involving Chiefs, government actors, private sector developers, and grassroots communities. The officer will leverage SayPro’s digital ecosystem to ensure transparent, inclusive, and impactful human settlement projects.


🛠 Key Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination & Execution
    Coordinate and execute human settlement projects using SayPro’s digital tools, dashboards, and stakeholder engagement platforms.
  • Community & Stakeholder Engagement
    Cultivate and manage partnerships with traditional authorities, community groups, municipal stakeholders, and private developers to align on project goals and ensure culturally appropriate implementation.
  • Technical Documentation & Planning
    Prepare and maintain technical reports, strategic proposals, budgeting plans, and implementation timelines using standardized SayPro templates and documentation tools.
  • Monitoring & Reporting
    Track project milestones and update the SayPro Strategic Royalty Database with real-time data on progress, community feedback, and funding outcomes.
  • Consultation Facilitation
    Organize and facilitate structured consultations, workshops, and meetings with SayPro Chiefs, policy leaders, and development partners to assess local needs and align on project design.
  • Knowledge Sharing & Innovation
    Identify and document best practices and case studies for replication in SayPro Monthly and other strategic knowledge platforms.

📌 Qualifications & Competencies

Required:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Development Studies, Public Policy, Project Management, or related fields.
  • 3+ years’ experience in stakeholder coordination, project implementation, or community development.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional leadership structures and community-based planning approaches.
  • Digital fluency and comfort using cloud-based tools, collaborative platforms, and GIS/mapping applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with or reporting to traditional authorities or municipal development offices.
  • Familiarity with SayPro’s mission, tools, and community frameworks.
  • Fluency in multiple languages spoken in SayPro’s operational areas.

  • Hybrid/Onsite: Periodic field coordination in Neftalopolis or other project locations may be required.
  • Flexible scheduling aligned with community consultation needs and stakeholder availability.
