SayPro and Accenture Partner to Provide Financial Management Training to 1,500 Young People Across South Africa

South Africa – May 9, 2025 — SayPro, a leading youth development and training organization, has joined forces with global consulting firm Accenture to deliver Financial Management training to 1,500 young people across South Africa. This initiative is part of a broader effort to empower youth with the practical financial knowledge and skills they need to thrive in today’s fast-paced and often uncertain economic environment.

Targeted at individuals aged 18 to 35, the program is designed to address the critical gaps in financial literacy that many young South Africans face as they enter adulthood, pursue education, or seek employment and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Helping Youth Build Financial Confidence and Independence

The curriculum has been specially designed for young people and includes:

  • Introduction to personal finance and budgeting
  • Managing student debt and loans
  • Saving and investment basics
  • Responsible use of credit and mobile money
  • Financial planning for education, business, and life goals
  • Digital tools for managing money

Training will be delivered through a hybrid model, combining mobile-friendly online modules with in-person workshops in youth centers, schools, community hubs, and universities across both urban and rural areas.

Empowering the Next Generation

“Young people are full of potential, but too often they are left out of financial systems or overwhelmed by debt and poor money management habits,” said a SayPro spokesperson. “This partnership with Accenture is about giving them the skills to make smart choices now—so they can shape better futures for themselves and their communities.”

Accenture is supporting the program through its Skills to Succeed initiative, which focuses on preparing people, especially youth, for employment and entrepreneurship by equipping them with in-demand skills.

“Young people are not just the future—they are the present,” said an Accenture South Africa representative. “We’re proud to invest in their growth by providing essential financial knowledge that can open doors to stability, opportunity, and long-term success.”

Program Benefits and Certification

Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the program and may be considered for additional support such as career readiness training, entrepreneurship development, or referrals to job and internship opportunities. The training is offered at no cost to eligible youth.
