South Africa – May 9, 2025 — SayPro, a leading organization in training and women’s empowerment, has partnered with global consulting firm Accenture to launch a dedicated Financial Management training program for 1,500 women across South Africa. The initiative aims to provide women—particularly those in under-resourced communities—with the knowledge and tools to take control of their financial futures, support their families, and grow sustainable livelihoods.
Women across the country continue to face systemic financial challenges, including limited access to financial education, formal employment, and business funding. This program is designed to break those barriers by equipping women with real-world financial skills that promote independence, resilience, and opportunity.
A Program Designed for Women, by Women
The training will focus on the specific financial needs and realities faced by women, including:
- Personal and household budgeting
- Saving and planning for the future
- Managing credit and debt responsibly
- Understanding financial rights and accessing financial services
- Financial literacy for entrepreneurs, caregivers, and single mothers
- Building confidence in financial decision-making
The program will be delivered through a mix of in-person sessions and mobile-accessible online learning, with local facilitators providing guidance in multiple South African languages to ensure inclusion and impact.
Empowering Women to Lead Financially
“This initiative is about much more than numbers—it’s about dignity, self-reliance, and economic empowerment,” said a spokesperson from SayPro. “When women have financial knowledge, they not only change their own lives but uplift entire families and communities.”
Accenture’s involvement is through its Skills to Succeed initiative, which supports inclusive growth by investing in the development of high-potential individuals. This training specifically supports the empowerment of women in alignment with global Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 5: Gender Equality and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth).
“We know that when women are economically empowered, communities thrive,” said a representative from Accenture South Africa. “We are proud to collaborate with SayPro to ensure women have the tools they need to manage finances confidently and create lasting change.”
Free Training and Lifelong Impact
The program is free of charge and available to women across cities, townships, and rural communities. It targets women of all ages, including students, unemployed women, informal traders, single mothers, caregivers, and small business owners.
Upon completion, participants will receive a recognized certificate and may gain access to follow-up support including mentorship, small business development, and microfinance opportunities.
