South Africa – May 9, 2025 — SayPro, a trusted leader in skills development and professional training, has partnered with global consulting firm Accenture to deliver high-impact Financial Management training to 1,500 individuals living in urban centers and cities across South Africa. This initiative addresses the growing need for financial literacy and economic empowerment in city environments, where individuals often face high living costs, debt, and limited savings.
The program is designed to equip job seekers, young professionals, informal traders, small business owners, and underemployed urban residents with the skills to manage their personal and business finances more effectively.
Training That Meets the Needs of Urban Residents
The curriculum, developed in collaboration between SayPro and Accenture, includes:
- Personal budgeting and financial planning
- Debt management and credit education
- Smart saving and investment basics
- Financial goal setting and tracking
- Managing money in digital and cash-based environments
- Finance for small and informal businesses
Training will be delivered through online learning platforms and in-person workshops at accessible venues such as community centers, universities, libraries, and coworking spaces in major cities like Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria, Port Elizabeth, and Bloemfontein.
Empowering City Dwellers with Lifelong Financial Skills
“In cities, people face constant financial pressures—high rent, transport costs, and growing debt burdens,” said a SayPro spokesperson. “This partnership with Accenture gives individuals real, applicable financial tools to thrive in today’s economy and plan for tomorrow.”
Accenture’s involvement is part of its long-standing Skills to Succeed initiative, which supports inclusive economic growth through skills development, particularly in underserved urban communities.
“Urban economic inclusion is one of the greatest challenges of our time,” said a representative from Accenture South Africa. “By partnering with SayPro, we are making financial literacy more accessible, empowering people to improve their lives and contribute to their city’s economic strength.”
Who Can Participate?
The program is open to all adults living in cities who want to improve their financial skills—particularly youth, informal workers, early-career professionals, and those looking to start or grow their businesses. The training is free of charge and will be available in English and local languages.
