Document Submission Requirements

To ensure the effective execution and documentation of the SCSPR-81 program, all participating employees are required to compile and submit the following document(s):


1. Research Reports on Informal Settlements

Purpose:
To provide SayPro with data-driven insights into the conditions, challenges, and potential intervention strategies in informal settlements and backyard communities across target regions.

Submission Deadline:
June 20, 2025

Format:

  • Word or PDF Document (minimum 5 pages, maximum 15 pages)
  • Typed in Arial or Calibri, size 11, with 1.15 spacing
  • Include maps, tables, and images where applicable
  • References or citations for all data sources

Required Sections:

  1. Executive Summary
    • A one-page overview of the report findings
  2. Community Profile
    • Geographic location and population size
    • Demographics (age, income, education levels)
  3. Key Challenges
    • Housing conditions (structural safety, overcrowding, tenure status)
    • Access to basic services (water, electricity, sanitation, transport)
    • Employment and income security
    • Social issues (crime, substance abuse, education dropout rates)
  4. Existing Solutions and Stakeholders
    • Ongoing projects, local NGOs, or municipal initiatives
    • Traditional or informal community responses
  5. Data Collection Methodology
    • Surveys, interviews, secondary data, or site visits
  6. Recommendations
    • Areas for SayPro partnership or policy intervention
    • Suggested next steps or pilot project ideas
  7. Appendices
    • Supporting documents, raw data, photos, consent forms (if applicable)

Review and Evaluation

Submitted research reports will be evaluated for:

  • Accuracy and relevance of information
  • Clarity and structure of the report
  • Use of primary and secondary data sources
  • Alignment with SCSPR-81 themes and objectives

High-quality reports may be selected for:

  • Inclusion in SayPro’s Knowledge Repository
  • Presentation during the SCSPR-81 event
  • Use in future advocacy, training, and planning sessions
