Position Title: SCSPR-81 Participant – Case Study & Document Researcher

Reporting To: Documentation Lead – SayPro Strategic Partnerships Royalty
Role Overview
As part of the SayPro SCSPR-81 April initiative, participants assigned to the Document and Case Study Preparation role will be responsible for collecting, reviewing, and summarizing relevant case studies, reports, and strategic documents that showcase successful interventions in informal settlement upgrading and backyard development. This research will support policy dialogues, training material development, and strategic discussion during the event.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Collection:
Identify and gather at least 5–10 key documents or case studies on informal settlement upgrading, backyard housing models, legal innovations, and participatory development efforts. Sources may include:- Municipal and national housing departments
- NGO and donor-funded project reports
- UN-Habitat, World Bank, or Cities Alliance case studies
- Academic research or journal articles
- Local government policy briefs or community plans
- Case Study Summarization:
For each document or case study, provide a structured summary that includes:- Project name and location
- Implementing partners
- Main objectives and challenges
- Key strategies used
- Measurable outcomes or lessons learned
- Relevance Mapping:
Match each case study or document to one or more SCSPR-81 thematic areas:- Informal settlement upgrading
- Backyard development and housing innovation
- Legal and policy frameworks
- Community participation and partnership models
- Submission Format:
Submit all documents (PDF, Word, or links) with a compiled summary report in a standardized template provided by SayPro. All materials must be submitted no later than May 20, 2025, for review and integration into event resources.
Expected Output
- A consolidated document repository (5–10 documents/case studies)
- A summary report for each resource (approx. 1–2 pages each)
- A cover report highlighting the relevance of findings to the SCSPR-81 event
