Objective
To ensure long-term, structural improvements in informal settlements and backyard housing environments, SayPro aims to advocate for at least two targeted policy reforms this quarter. These changes should support easier access to housing finance, secure land tenure, and municipal program inclusion for under-resourced communities.

- Host a SayPro Policy Dialogue Session (virtual or in-person) to showcase proposed reforms
Policy Reform Criteria
Advocated policies must:
- Be feasible and actionable within current legal and regulatory frameworks
- Directly address barriers faced by informal settlement residents and backyard landlords
- Enhance access to funding, secure land rights, or public service inclusion
- Be based on participatory inputs from affected communities
- Align with national strategies such as South Africa’s Upgrading of Informal Settlements Programme (UISP) or relevant SADC frameworks

- Meeting reports or minutes from at least three policy stakeholder engagements
- Documentation of community inputs used to shape advocacy messages
- Media or outreach materials highlighting the policy issues and SayPro’s position
