Purpose
To support evidence-based learning and inspire replicable models, employees are required to submit case studies documenting successful urban development interventions related to informal settlement or backyard upgrading. These case studies will form part of SayPro’s internal knowledge library and inform future partnerships, policy advocacy, and training content.
Case Study Focus Areas
Each case study must focus on at least one of the following:
- Successful multi-stakeholder partnerships (e.g., NGO-municipality-private sector collaborations)
- Innovative housing or infrastructure solutions implemented in low-income areas
- Effective policy interventions (e.g., land tenure reform, service inclusion policies)
- Community-led upgrading projects with measurable impact
- Backyard rental management models with legal and financial support systems

Length: 4–8 pages
Format: PDF or Word document
Font: Arial or Calibri, size 11
Spacing: 1.15 or 1.5 line spacing
Visuals: Include at least one visual aid (photo, chart, or infographic)
