Objective:
The Strategic Partnerships Office within SayPro is tasked with identifying, developing, and managing strategic relationships with key partners in the print media and recreational content sectors, specifically within gaming, sports, and entertainment. This role will focus on building partnerships that foster collaboration, expand SayPro’s market presence, and generate mutual growth in both digital and print platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Partnership Identification
Task: Identify and establish new partnerships with companies that specialize in recreational content (gaming, sports, entertainment) and print media.
- Market Research: Conduct comprehensive research to identify leading and emerging companies in the gaming, sports, entertainment, and print media sectors. This includes reviewing industry trends, competitor activities, and market demand.
- Stakeholder Mapping: Develop a clear map of potential partners by identifying key stakeholders and decision-makers within organizations that produce recreational content (e.g., gaming studios, sports leagues, entertainment companies, outdoor brands, and media publishers).
- Partnership Outreach: Initiate contact with potential partners to explore partnership opportunities. This includes cold-calling, emailing, attending networking events, and leveraging existing industry connections to establish initial dialogues.
- Evaluation of Potential Partners: Assess the strategic alignment of potential partners with SayPro’s goals, ensuring they share a common vision for collaboration in the print media and recreational content space. Evaluate the potential for long-term growth and profitability from these partnerships.
2. Developing Partnership Proposals
Task: Develop partnership proposals and value propositions to present to potential partners.
- Proposal Creation: Design tailored proposals that clearly outline the benefits of collaboration with SayPro. This includes demonstrating how print media partnerships will provide value to both parties, with a focus on mutual growth, content innovation, audience engagement, and revenue generation.
- Content Strategy Alignment: Align the content strategies between SayPro and potential partners to ensure that the collaboration leads to co-created content, joint marketing efforts, or exclusive events that appeal to both audiences.
- Contract Negotiation: Work closely with legal and financial teams to draft partnership contracts, ensuring the terms are mutually beneficial and aligned with SayPro’s strategic objectives. Ensure that agreements reflect agreed-upon revenue-sharing models, content contributions, and promotional efforts.
3. Collaboration with Internal Teams
Task: Work closely with internal teams, such as marketing, content, and operations, to align on partnership goals and execution.
- Cross-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate with SayPro’s marketing and content teams to ensure that partnership initiatives are aligned with company-wide goals. Provide input on how the collaboration will be executed across both print and digital platforms.
- Campaign Planning: Support the creation and execution of joint campaigns, ensuring that all promotional activities, content creation, and events are aligned with the goals of the strategic partnership.
- Progress Tracking and Reporting: Establish tracking mechanisms to monitor the progress and success of partnerships. Provide regular updates to the leadership team on key milestones, KPIs, and any issues that arise during the partnership lifecycle.
4. Networking and Industry Representation
Task: Represent SayPro at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand the company’s network and identify potential partnerships.
- Event Attendance: Attend industry conferences, conventions, and trade shows related to gaming, sports, entertainment, and print media to network with potential partners and gather insights on industry developments.
- Industry Thought Leadership: Position SayPro as a thought leader in the recreational content and print media sectors by actively participating in panel discussions, speaking engagements, and publishing articles on relevant industry topics.
- Building Relationships: Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in the gaming, sports, entertainment, and print media sectors. Maintain an active pipeline of potential partnership opportunities and continually build the company’s network.
5. Managing Existing Partnerships
Task: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing partners to ensure the longevity and success of current partnerships.
- Partnership Support: Provide ongoing support to current partners by addressing any challenges, opportunities, or adjustments needed to ensure smooth collaboration.
- Performance Reviews: Regularly review the performance of existing partnerships to ensure they are delivering the expected results. Work with partners to optimize campaigns, content, and strategies to drive continued success.
- Renewals and Expansions: Lead discussions for renewing or expanding existing agreements to increase the scope and depth of current partnerships, including exploring new opportunities for collaboration, such as exclusive content or joint events.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or marketing within the media, gaming, sports, or entertainment industries.
- Proven experience in managing and negotiating high-level partnerships, with a track record of successfully closing deals.
- Skills:
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- In-depth understanding of print media and recreational content markets (gaming, sports, entertainment).
- Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers across diverse sectors.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple partnerships and initiatives simultaneously.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to align business objectives with partnership opportunities.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Media, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
- Additional Qualities:
