The focus of the meeting was to introduce the 3-Day Capacity Building training and to explain how it will benefit the participating NPOs. Mr. Nkiwane, representing SayPro, took the opportunity to demonstrate the importance of this initiative. He shared how the training would help NPOs improve their governance, management practices, and overall effectiveness in serving their communities.
Training Requirements and Learner Agreement
During the session, Mr. Nkiwane emphasized that, in order to participate in the training, NPO representatives must complete and sign a Learner Agreement. Additionally, they must bring a certified copy of their identification and any relevant qualifications. This documentation is crucial to ensure that participants are properly registered and have the necessary credentials to benefit from the program.
Can Non-Registered NPOs Attend the Training?
A common question that arose during the meeting was whether individuals who are in the process of registering their NPO can attend the training. The answer provided by Mr. Nkiwane was that while the training is primarily intended for established NPOs, those who are in the process of registering their own NPOs may also be considered for participation. However, it is essential that they provide evidence of their registration in progress and meet the other required criteria.
In summary, the SayPro Governance for NPOs Programme 3-Day Capacity Building is a valuable opportunity for organizations in the region to strengthen their operational and governance skills. The collaboration at the meeting, with the support of SayPro, demonstrates a commitment to improving the effectiveness of NPOs and empowering them to make a greater impact on the communities they serve.
