Position Title: Strategic Partnerships Content Officer

Position Summary
Personnel in the SayPro Magazine Strategic Partnerships Office play a critical role in advancing SayPro’s mission by identifying, evaluating, and showcasing impactful partnerships through the SayPro Monthly Magazine. The primary focus is on identifying and vetting potential and existing SayPro partners for editorial features, case studies, and strategic insights that highlight the value of collaboration.
This role ensures that all featured partners are aligned with SayPro’s values, meet editorial standards, and contribute meaningfully to SayPro’s ecosystem of influence.
Key Responsibilities
🔍 1. Partner Identification and Research
- Proactively research organizations and individuals who demonstrate alignment with SayPro’s mission, goals, and strategic focus areas.
- Maintain a rolling database of potential feature-worthy partners across sectors including development, education, technology, entrepreneurship, and social impact.
- Monitor internal and external sources (e.g., project reports, stakeholder input, news coverage) to identify emerging partnership success stories.
🛡️ 2. Vetting and Eligibility Assessment
- Assess the relevance, credibility, and impact of potential partners before recommending them for feature consideration.
- Coordinate with SayPro departments and partner-facing teams to gather performance data, testimonials, or references.
- Ensure all featured partners uphold ethical standards and positive public representation.
🗂️ 3. Feature Recommendation and Approval
- Develop internal briefs or proposal documents for each potential feature partner, outlining:
- Background information
- Nature of SayPro partnership
- Proposed story angle
- Value to audience and alignment with editorial calendar
- Present recommendations to the Director and Editorial Board for final approval.
🤝 4. Relationship Management
- Act as liaison between featured partners and the content team, ensuring clear communication, consent, and timely provision of materials (quotes, images, project details).
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with both existing and prospective partners throughout the editorial process.
📊 5. Tracking and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of partner feature status, outcomes, and feedback.
- Provide regular updates and reports on partner pipeline, vetting results, and future opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, international development, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in stakeholder engagement, partnership management, journalism, or content development.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Attention to detail, discretion, and a commitment to ethical representation.
- Familiarity with SayPro’s values, programs, and brand positioning is an advantage.
