Task Overview

As part of the SayPro SCSPR-81 initiative, participants and employees are expected to develop comprehensive partnership proposals aimed at securing stakeholder engagement, financial investment, and operational collaboration in human settlement projects. These proposals will serve as key instruments for initiating formal dialogues with prospective partners, aligning shared interests, and advancing project implementation frameworks.

Objectives of the Task

  • To engage a range of stakeholders—public, private, academic, and civil society—in the co-design and co-delivery of human settlement projects.
  • To clearly articulate project objectives, collaboration frameworks, and shared value propositions for potential partners.
  • To outline funding pathways, partnership models, and implementation strategies that align with SayPro’s accreditation and sustainability standards.

Key Components of the Proposal

Each proposal developed should include the following sections:

  • Brief overview of the proposed human settlement project, its purpose, geographic focus, and relevance to national or regional priorities.

2. Project Background and Rationale

  • Supporting data or case references demonstrating urgency and impact potential.

  • Alignment with SDGs (especially SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SayPro’s Strategic Royalty Framework.

4. Potential Partners and Roles

  • Identification of target stakeholders (e.g., government departments, developers, NGOs, funders).
  • Proposed roles, contributions, and expectations from each partner.

5. Implementation Strategy

  • Phased approach to implementation including design, construction, monitoring, and community engagement.
  • Emphasis on sustainability, innovation, and inclusive urban planning.

6. Funding and Resource Mobilization

  • Outline of estimated costs and required resources.
  • Strategies for securing funding (e.g., donor funding, co-financing, PPPs, impact investment, SayPro Royalty framework).
  • Incentives and returns for partners (e.g., visibility, ROI, social impact).

7. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (MER)

  • Metrics for success and performance indicators.
  • Reporting structure and accountability mechanisms.

8. Annexes and Supporting Documents

  • Maps, feasibility assessments, community endorsements, or letters of intent (if applicable).

Expected Deliverables

  • 2–3 completed partnership proposals by each participant/employee, targeted at different sectors or geographic regions.
